I'm obsessed.

Actually, to say I am obsessed with her would be an understatement. She has been my saving grace through the past few years, along with my chickens. Graduate school has pushed me in ways I did not see coming, both personally, emotionally, socially, and of course, academically. I haven't felt this level of stress in a long time. As a result, my mental bandwidth is being pushed and challenged in a way I feel both grateful and angry about.

When I come home from a hectic day at my placement or quietly sneak in after a long day on campus, she is waiting there, happy to see me.

Dogs are a gift. They want nothing from us but love. We don't deserve them, but we have them, and I am endless thankful we do. Sadies snuggles me, sleeps with me (well, sleeps ON me), walks with me, sits with me while studying, and exudes warmth and love.

She is goofy, snuggly, protects me daily from the evils of the world; squirrels, the mail carrier, the UPS trucks, and while she isn't a great listener, I would not trade her for anything...however...I would duplicate her if I could. I am currently working on Brett to help me find another to add to our family. Wish me luck...
