a glimpse into me // age 39 – grade “adult“
Name one person, living or dead, that you get to spend the day with. Who is it and what would you do?
Can I have more than one person? Yes? Ok. Easy: I would have a dinner party at my house with Stacey Cushman, Tina Fey, Paul Rudd, Bill Hader and Amy Pohler. We would eat burritos, drink lots of White Claw and then play Cards Against Humanity.
What’s your favorite movie?
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. It’s has everything: adventure, great music, and most of all heart.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
I would build a farm-house in Franklin, TN near my parents that would have room for a big ole’ barn to hold all the animals my kids could ever dream of.
What do you do when you are feeling down?
I listen to my “super emo” music and take nap.
You are in charge for the evening, what do you do and what do you eat for dinner? PS. There are NO limits…
We (the four of us and the dog) fly to either Portland or Austin for the day, walk around town sight-seeing and popping into little shops. Then when we get hungry, we find a fun brewery that has outdoor games like cornhole or ping-pong and munch on burgers, fries and yummy beer. Then when we get tired we all climb into bed and fall asleep listening to my “super emo” music.
What do you like to do for fun?
Go for hike with Sadie, grab lunch with a friend, snuggle in my comfy bed while watching ALL the Bravo shows.
What is your favorite book?
The Opposite of Loneliness. I read it once or twice a year. It’s inspirational and moving.
What do you love about being 39 years old?
I love that I’m confident in all the ways I wished I was back in my 20’s: with my body, my strength and my sense of self.
What is the worst thing about being 39 years old?
The daily mundane tasks of managing a family. Mundane being: dishes, laundry, chauffering, meal planning, etc.
Tell me one A M A Z I N G thing about yourself.
I am a good friend.
