Thanksgiving was a whirlwind of sickies, long drives, messes, uncomfortable slumber in our family RV, laughter, smiles, hugs, overdue baby snuggles, pictures and endless L O V E.
We loaded up our RV, which still doesn’t have a nickname I might add, and drove with the rest of the world to Southern California to spend Thanksgiving with my husband’s Thanksgiving Crazed cousins. LOL.
Thanksgiving is THEIR holiday. I know you thought it was yours too, but sorry, it’s theirs and they do it right.
I always get a little anxious before the big holiday extravaganza because even though I seem like a big ol’ extrovert, in large groups, even family, I get quite overwhelmed, anxious and turn into a little introvert. However, with this group of 32+ people, all I have to do is walk through the door and I am immediately covered in love and the tension melts from my shoulders.
We got a late start to the trip because, like my kids always do when we have plans, Bear woke up in the middle of the night with a super high fever and a terrible cough. We planned on getting up before the sun to get a head start on all the holiday traffic, but we decided to wait it out instead to see how she felt. Luckily we did because she woke up like a firecracker 12 hours later ready and happy to go!
A million hours later, we made it to Southern Cali and the festivities were underway. Below are some snapshots from our holiday. Hope you were as lucky as we were and your holiday was full of thankful snapshots as well…
